Eresus crassitibialis is endemic to Canary Islands (known only from La Gomera). Males get adult in winter. Big species, size of adult female was nearly 5cm in body. I had one cocoon from smaller (2cm) female form nature, it contains about 40 nymphs. Slights were bigger than in other eresids and it takes nearly half a year to hatch. Hard to say if this is tipical for this species.
